Functional Fitness
On Demand Video Class with Coach Shellie
Coach Shellie’s fitness class begins with a dynamic warm up that gets you ready to move, followed by strength development to build a strong foundation. Weights are not required, but are encouraged. If you have dumbbells, kettlebells, a barbell with some plates, or just a backpack filled with books Shellie can make it work! Next, we have the workout that is a varying combination of high, relative and low intensity intervals focusing on functional fitness.
Coach Shellie demonstrates all movements and modifications for various fitness levels. She will work out along with you so you stay on track and view her moving properly and with intent. Coach Shellie will occasionally spotlight athletes so she can have her eyes on you to ensure you are moving well, or make proper corrections if needed.
Get Up and Go! 30 Minute High Energy Interval Workout
On Demand Video Class with Coach Shellie
Feel like you have no time? No equipment? No problem! All you need is YOU. Coach Shellie provides a dynamic warm up and workout with multiple bodyweight movements that target your core and cardiovascular strength. All movements are briefly demonstrated and Coach Shellie performs the intervals with you to keep you on track.
Fit Kids!
On Demand Video Class with Coach Shellie
30 minutes of fun, high-energy interval movements. We warm up, develop flexibility, and strengthen core, upper body and lower body. We increase balance and control. Tumbling skills are taught, too - which the kids love! All movements are easily modified to meet your child’s needs.
Kiddos can follow along with an on-demand video whenever they feel like moving or practicing their cartwheels.
Meaningful Mobility
Edington Family Fitness has partnered with Corey Southers PT, DPT, CSCS, FDN, FMS of Rehabilitation Redefined. Corey’s program features a 15-20 minute daily mobility routine that varies each day. It is focused on ACTIVE mobility and exploring your full range of motion while also controlling that range of motion
The daily program focuses on all of the major joint complexes of the body including the spine (both linear and rotational movement), the hips, and the shoulders. I have also included additional activities for the elbows, knees, wrists, and ankles if you feel that you need a little extra push in those areas as well and would like to add those to your routine.
Coach Shellie recommends Meaningful Mobility on active rest days and as often as able to get it in!
